BRING YOUR PIECE
TO PEACE
We held our extremely successful conferences in June 2016 and Feb 2017. In the safe space provided by the conference, participants shared their common humanity, acknowledged negative emotions, forgave for any judgments they placed on the situation and, most importantly, took the skills, tools and lessons they learned back to their own personal lives.
Our focus was on reconciling and healing from within oneself, creating a changed consciousness to inspire both Palestinians and Israelis to forgive and accept each other, to set aside old insults and injuries. This was not a theoretical exercise. Everyone who participated in this program learned concrete, real-world concepts and actions they could put to use immediately.
By recognizing, facing and engaging in their own internal challenges, participants were able to identify and address the external challenges to conflict transformation and peacebuilding. By learning practical measures and sharing ideas on how to lead their communities away from violence towards peace, participants left the program feeling confident they could be agents for positive change and looking forward to upcoming, more advanced workshop to further deepen their knowledge and skills.
Introductory workshop
Designed specifically to have current or potential peace facilitators and peace builders understand their individual roles and responsibilities in transformation from within. We will teach participants how to apply basic spiritual principles of the psychological roots of conflict, how to work with it and transform it on the human level from within.
Advanced workshop
Our advanced workshop will build on all the basic skills and tools introduced during the introductory workshop. Participants will gain a deep and rooted understanding of applied peace building in the context of divided communities, focusing on reconciliation and healing from within and with each other. We will support participants to understand soul-centered peace building and reconciliation, as applied concepts and practices relevant for their own context and communities.
